As part of my job I have to go on a range of incredibly tiresome courses at immense cost to the school. The people who present these courses are generally washed up teachers who have found the demands of the classroom too great. It is therefore quite ironic that they end up preaching to those of us still in the profession theory that they canâ??t actually deliver themselves! I would have to say the most impressive thing about these events are the Printed Folders. One might question how Printed Folders could be impressive but trust me they can make the most useless and boring information seem important and interesting. Printed Folders have an air of believability about them; they usually come in a bright colours and have a bold and enticing logo emblazoned on the front. In addition to this they also have a persuasive title like â??All your classroom worries solved!â?� although I am forever sceptical there is always a brief moment when I am seduced by this very convincing façade. If I was intending on presenting material to my colleagues that I wanted them to take seriously and believe in its credibility then I would also use Printed Folders.
